5 Best Places to Buy Cheap Golf Apparel
If there’s one thing I like more than a brand-new pair of shoes, it’s saving money on said purchase. After spending years searching for the best places to save on golf apparel and shoes, I’ve narrowed it down to my top five.
Looking to buy brand-name golf gear for discounted prices? Here are the five best places to buy cheap golf apparel and shoes.
1. Ross
My all-time favorite place to buy cheap golf apparel and shoes is Ross. Much to my wife’s chagrin, I frequent the local Ross, always on the hunt for hidden treasure. In this case, the treasure is $35 NIKE golf shoes or $19 Under Armour polos.
If you’re patient and willing to sift through hoards of apparel, you can almost always find a great deal on golf apparel, even if it’s last season’s style.
2. Marshalls
No. 2 (but more like 1B) is Marshalls. Where Ross is great for brands like Callaway, Under Armour and NIKE, I often found more premium brands on sale at Marshalls (G/FORE, Holderness and Bourne, Greyson).
The special finds are fewer and farther between but finding a Greyson polo for $35 makes the wait worth it. Pro tip: Always check the shoes. I’ve found countless pairs of G/FORE and Cole Haan golf shoes at my local shop.
3. Nordstrom Rack
Here me out on this one. You know the name Nordstrom and you automatically think Dior or Ralph Lauren. But Nordstrom does sell some good golf apparel and their discount-laden sister store, Nordstrom Rack, is a great place to find deals on things like TRUE Linkswear golf shoes and TravisMathew golf apparel.
I generally wait until Nordstrom Rack’s “Clear the Rack” sale where they give you at least an extra 25 percent off clearance items. It’s a great time to stock up!
4. Poshmark/Mercari
Resale website are a great place to find golf apparel and shoes for cheap. Poshmark and Mercari are like eBay but more focused on clothing. Rather than hunting through the local Goodwill (which I am a fan of, by the way) you can do a quick search on Poshmark to find some good deals on lightly used apparel and shoes.
It’s also a great way to sell your gently worn gear, too!
5. Going, Going, Gone!
Did you know that DICK’S Sporting Goods has a discount store and website? It’s one of the worst-kept secrets in retail. Going, Going, Gone! by DICK’S is essentially a warehouse of discounted gear that DICK’S couldn’t sell at full price.
You can shop both online and in-person and can often find some seriously steep discounts. For what it’s worth, I’ve often had better luck shopping in person.
