Tiger Woods' Chip-In at the 2005 Masters

Tiger Woods' chip-in at the 2005 Masters is one of the most iconic and memorable shots in the history of golf. Here are some details about that remarkable moment:

During the final round of the 2005 Masters Tournament, Tiger Woods was locked in a tight battle with fellow golfer Chris DiMarco. On the 16th hole, known as "Redbud," Woods hit his tee shot to the back left of the green, leaving himself a challenging downhill chip shot with little room for error.

Facing a delicate shot, Woods had to navigate the steep slope and precise distance control to get the ball close to the hole. With the weight of the tournament on his shoulders, Woods struck the ball cleanly, sending it rolling down the slope towards the hole.

As the ball approached the cup, it appeared to be running too fast, but to the amazement of the crowd and viewers around the world, it hit the flagstick and dramatically dropped into the hole. The moment was met with an eruption of cheers and applause from the spectators.

Woods celebrated the chip-in with a triumphant fist pump and a roar of excitement. The shot gave him a crucial birdie, propelling him into a two-shot lead over DiMarco with just two holes to play. Woods held on to win the tournament, securing his fourth Green Jacket and adding to his growing list of major championships.

BirdieBall Putting Mats: Living in the Material World

BirdieBall putting mats have been top MyGolfSpy performers ever since we started testing putting mats.

And ever since we started testing putting mats, John Breaker, BirdieBall founder, owner, CEO and Inner Light, has been adamant: If you want true roll on a putting mat, his aerated foam is the way to go.

It’s a message Breaker has shouted from the rooftops since his first aerated foam mat debuted.

“The problem with woven synthetics, carpet, felt or any other manmade textile is they have a pattern,” says Breaker. “When the ball slows down, it follows the pattern.”

And that pattern means you’re getting far less out of all the practice you put in over the winter than you hoped.
