Evnroll updates their 2023 V-Series line and adds the new Carlsbad putter line.
The V-Series blade and mallets are modular in design.
The Carlsbad line includes one blade and one mallet at a lower-than-usual price point.
Available now at
Evnroll.com with a MSRP of $429 for the V-Series line and $249 for the Carlsbad line.
The “Sweetest Face in Golf” just got less expensive. That’s right, I said LESS expensive.
At a time when everything in golf is getting pricier, Evnroll’s new Carlsbad putters are hundreds of dollars less than the majority of other putters.
Less expensive is great but are they any good?
The short answer to that question is yes, they are very good putters. They are Evnroll putters, after all. These new putters may cost less but they are still packed with Evnroll’s assistive putting technologies.
If that wasn’t enough good putter news, Evnroll has also updated their V-Series line with new models. The Evnroll V-Series received significant refresh back in 2023. Those 2023 putter models all featured modular hosels, adjustable weights and swappable rear flanges.
They were a putter tinkerer’s dream!
These new models do not have quite as many options but fans of the original V-Series line will appreciate how the new models have kept the overall modular design aesthetic.
Let’s explore the key elements of the 2025 V-Series first and then we will get into the Carlsbad putters.
Evnroll 2025 V-Series key element: Modular design
Like the 2023 V-Series line, the key feature of the 2025 Evnroll V-Series is modular construction. All of the V-Series models feature two hosel options, either short slant or short plumber.
You’ll select one of the two necks when you order the putter. If you change your mind later, you can order the other from Evnroll and swap in the new neck with a simple turn of a screw.
If you wanted to, you could build a whole stable of hosel, shaft and grip variations, allowing you to change up your putter as needed.
The faces and rear chassis parts on the V5 mallets are still all milled from 303 stainless steel and 6061 aluminum respectively. This time around, there are only two chassis options and both V5 mallets have the DUO (silver face/black chassis) color scheme.
SweetFace
grooves
As expected, all of the new V-Series models feature Evnroll’s patented SweetFace
grooves. These grooves assist with distance control on off-center hits and improve dispersal as well.
There is a reason Evnroll’s putters have racked up multiple Most Wanted Putter victories over the years. Evnroll’s assistive putter technologies are actually assistive in making putts.
2025 Evnroll V-Series models
The 2025 Evnroll V-Series line features one blade and three mallets. As I mentioned, all of the models are 100-percent milled from stainless steel and aluminum. All of the models feature adjustable sole weights.
The sole weights are the same version found in the Evnroll Neo Classics and Zero putter lines from 2024. The location of the black paint on the weight tells you how heavy it is. The weight increases as the circle moves toward the perimeter.
2025 Evnroll V-Series V2
The V-Series V2 is the sibling of Evnroll’s iconic ER2 blade. The ER2 holds multiple Most Wanted titles and is no doubt one of Evnroll’s most popular models.
Why would someone choose the V2 over the ER2?
Not to keep repeating myself, but the secret weapon of the V-Series is adjustability. When you build your V2, you can select the hosel and the head weight best suited to your needs. This was not possible with the ER2 since it did not feature either a removable hosel or weights.
Granted, you may never change your V2’s components once you get it dialed in but the fact you were able to get it dialed in is the whole point of the modular design.

2025 Evnroll V-Series V12
I loved the V12 back in 2023, especially the white version, and I love this putter as well. There is just something about the way it sits behind the ball that checks my boxes. This time around, there is only the black version.
The V12 is a bit of an outlier in the V-Series as it does not have the same adjustable weights as the other models in the line. Construction is also reversed with the milled aluminum being the impact material and the stainless steel positioned for perimeter weighting.
The V12 has a very Spider-esq build plan. Most of the weight is located toward the perimeter of the head, boosting the MOI and stability of the V12.
The GIMME hole in the bottom of the putter adds to the perimeter weight plan as well and, more importantly, allows you to pick up the ball without bending over.

2025 Evnroll V-Series V5.1
The V5 was the modular megladon of the 2023 V-Series. The 2023 V5 had three necks, three chassis shapes and two chassis color options. If my math is correct, that means that there were just under 300 ways to assemble a V5.
(No, my math is not correct.)
This time around, there are only two neck options and two black rear chassis to choose from.
Both of the V5 chassis designs are fang-shaped, designed to push the weight of the putter head to the perimeter. V5.1 chassis is the blockier of the two with the fangs separated into angular sections.
A crossbar links the fangs of the V5.1 at the rear. Alignment lines are milled into the rear crossbar and the central region of the aluminum flange to assist with targeting.

2025 Evnroll V-Series V5.2
The rear chassis of the V-Series 5.2 is far less blocky than that of the V5.1. The edges sweep continuously toward the rear of the putter.
As with the V5.1, alignment lines are milled into the central region of the chassis. For this model, these lines will likely prove less influential for aiming as the long painted lines at the edge of the cavity are far more overt.
For those of you who are curious, the neck from the Ennroll ZERO Z.1 will fit in both of the V5.1 and V5.2 models. Why would you do that? IFKYK

Alignment Schemes: V5.1 versus V5.2
If you are wondering which of the V5 models is right for you, it may come down to how the different chassis shapes influence alignment.
People who like lines that run parallel to the target will probably gravitate toward the V5.2. Though the V5.1 has a line on the top edge that is parallel to the target, many of the body edges are perpendicular to the target line.
Think about how you aim your current putter. That should guide your chassis selection.
2025 Evnroll Carlsbad putters
I know I got you all excited about the new less expensive Envroll Carlsbad putters only to detour into the V-Series.
Apologies for that but I wanted to make sure you saw those before getting too distracted by the budget-friendly glory that is the Carlsbad line.
How was Evnroll able to make these cost $249 when the V-Series putters cost $429?
It basically comes down to how they were built.
Unlike their 100-percent milled siblings, the Carlsbad putters are pressure-molded heads that are then surface-milled. This build plan cuts way down on milling time and, with that, cost.
The Carlsbad putters do not have modular necks but they do have adjustable weights. The inclusion of adjustable weights requires additional construction time and expense, making it even more impressive that Evnroll offers these at a lower price point.
Key elements: Evnroll Carlsbad line
“Less expensive” is probably the first thing that will draw people to the Evnroll Carlsbad line. What will cause them to leave the shop with one of these putters is their performance.
The Carlsbad putters may be less-expensive Evnroll putters but they are still Evnroll putters. We expect a putter with the Evnroll name to be a precision-designed putter that has the technologies to help us make more putts.
The Carlsbad putters have the SweetFace
groove technology built into their face inserts. Like the Neo Classic line, the face insert consists of a layer of milled aluminum sitting atop a polymer base.
This combination of materials delivers a delightfully soft impact experience.
Don’t tell the folks at Evnroll but I prefer the feel of the Carlsbad insert to the fully milled V-Series face. Since I felt the same way about the Neo Classic face insert, I should have anticipated that the Carlsbad’s impact would be luxurious as well.
Evnroll Carlsbad B.1
The Carlsbad B.1 is a fairly standard heel-and toe-weighted blade design. Evenroll describes the plumber’s neck as “mid-length” but it looks pretty long to me. It’s about an inch longer than the short plumber’s V-Series neck.
The Carlsbad B.1 has a little less toe hang than a V2 with the short plumber’s neck but there is definitely some toe hang. Don’t let the longer neck trick you into thinking the putter is face-balanced

Evnroll Carlsbad M.1
The Carlsbad M.1 is fun to roll. I know that “fun” may not be on your checklist for buying a new putter but that is the descriptor that first comes to mind.
Even more than the Carlsbad B.1, impact with the M.1 is soft and responsive. The putter just glides along the turf with the short slant neck providing just enough toe hang to let the putter move naturally during the stroke.
When you plop the Carlsbad M.1 behind the ball, almost every curve and line assists with aiming. Unlike the V5.1 and 5.2 where the lines were either parallel or perpendicular, the lines of the M.1 are both.
Rolling balls on the practice green with the Carlsbad M.1 was a satisfying experience. Like the surfer on the Carlsbad headcover, this putter just has an aura of chill to it.

Final thoughts: Evnroll 2025 V-Series and Carlsbad putters
In terms of cost and construction, the new Evnroll V-Series and Carlsbad putter lines are very different putter lines. In terms of assistive technologies and quality, they are not that different at all.
The V-Series buyer is someone who wants to tinker and tweak their putter build, either to achieve the optimum configuration or just to mess around and see what happens.
The Carlsbad buyer is someone who is less interested in messing with their putter and looking for the most bang for the buck.
The Carlsbad line definitely bangs the bucks. At no point in time with either the B.1 or the M.1 did I feel like I was rolling a cheap putter. If you notice, I did not use the word “cheap” previously.
These are not cheap putters. They are less expensive. The word “cheap” implies low quality and that is not something I associate with any Evnroll putter, regardless of price.
