Did you know almost every PGA TOUR pro uses a Bushnell rangefinder to get dialed in? Now they’re upgrading to the new Bushnell Pro X3.
And you can, too.
The new kid on the range looks similar to its older, Most Wanted Winner, brother, the Pro XE. So what makes it better?
The Bushnell Pro X3
Bushnell Golf says the Pro X3 incorporates some significant updates and features.
Slope with “Elements” Compensated Distances with Adjustable Home Elevation Dual Display Patented Locking Slope-Switch Technology Patented PinSeeker With Visual JOLT Integrated BITE Magnetic Cart Mount IPX7 Fully Waterproof Rubber Armored Metal Housing 600-Yard Range to a Flag 7X magnification Bluetooth Connectivity to Mobile AppSo, what’s different compared to the Bushnell Pro XE? Not much but something, for sure.
What’s Different About the Pro XE?
The new Bushnell Pro X3 has updated lope with elements technology. According to Bushnell Golf, “the Slope with Elements technology allows golfers to store their home elevation to reflect the slope with Elements-compensated distances at the elevation where they play their most golf.” So, basically, the slope can be normalized to your home course/or local area for more accurate slope and elements readouts.
With the Pro XE rangefinder, the only option for display was bright red which sometimes faded in direct sunlight. The Pro X3 display has the choice between bright red or crisp black based on user preference.
Another feature upgrade for the Pro X3 is its patent-pending Locking Slope-Switch at the front of the rangefinder. By unlocking the switch, slope will be turned on and will show a bright red “Slope” reading, reducing the risk of accidentally slipping the slope-on toggle during tournament play.
For Technology Lovers
Bushnell Golf has been the benchmark for excellence for years and the new Pro X3 is another step above the competition. However, at the new price of $599.99, are there enough innovations and benefits to justify that price?
For the golfer who needs all the gear, there’s no reason not to purchase the Pro X3. Is it enough of an upgrade to justify the price? That’s up to you. For now, I’m sticking to my Bushnell Tour V5 Shift.
