First Versus Worst Golf Shoes 2025 (Spiked And Spikeless)

We tested nearly 50 spiked and spikeless golf shoes in 2025. Some shoes delivered top-tier performance in terms of comfort, traction and stability, others fell short.

Here’s a closer look at the best versus the worst from each category.

Spikeless: Payntr All Day SC versus Duca Del Cosma Churchill

In testing, the Payntr All Day SC set the bar by feeling more like a running shoe than a golf shoe. Its PMX Nitro+ midsole scored a 44.55/50 in comfort. Testers repeatedly noted that they could play 36 holes without their feet hurting.

The traction was nearly perfect for the All Day SC and rivaled that of a spiked golf shoe. Stability and weather protection (elements) were also strong, leading to a total score of 98, highest in the test.

Duca Del Cosma’s Churchill was the worst spikeless shoe we tested in 2025. It’s made with premium Italian Nappa leather but from an overall comfort standpoint, the Churchill cannot compete.

Unfortunately, comfort wasn’t the only problem. The stability, elements and traction performance were also lacking. Despite costing more than $100 more than the PANYTR All Day SC, the Duca del Cosma shoes didn’t match up.

Spiked: adidas TOUR360 24 versus Duca Del Cosma Bernardo

Back‑to‑back test wins don’t happen by accident. The adidas TOUR360 24 took first place in the 2024 and 2025 best spiked golf shoe testing.

The adidas TOUR360 24 features a combination of Lightstrike and Boost cushioning, ensuring a comfortable experience throughout the round. The shoe’s design features a soft premium leather upper and a new “T-Shape” suede microfiber heel which helps reduce the risk of blisters.

Additionally, the TOUR360 24 features a seven-spike outsole that provides a reliable grip even in wet conditions. You don’t have to compromise when you invest in the adidas TOUR360 24.

Duca Del Cosma struggled once again in the spiked golf shoe testing. The Bernardo leans hard on upscale aesthetics but testers quickly found the performance wasn’t there. A snug toe box and lack of padding knocked the comfort score down to 36/50.

The traditional cleat pattern couldn’t match adidas for grip or lateral hold (9.2 traction, 28.2 stability). The other problem here is a $289 sticker price for a shoe that didn’t really deliver.

Final thoughts

This year’s “best versus worst golf shoes” recap is a clear look at “buying the most expensive is not always the best.” If you are in the market for new golf shoes, don’t look at the price alone. You need to consider factors such as performance and stability as well as the tests we have conducted. The right pair of shoes can make or break your round.
