When COBRA releases limited-edition gear collaborations, it doesn’t mess around.
Just a week ago, we showed you the very cool COBRA x Arnold Palmer Limited Edition DS-ADAPT driver, launched just in time for this past weekend’s Bay Hill Invitational.
Just seven days later, COBRA is at it again with this sweet COBRA x Palm Tree Crew limited-edition DS-ADAPT driver.
Never too old to learn, amiright?
First, about the driver …
The COBRA driver part of the story isn’t any different than last week’s Arnold Palmer limited-edition. The collaboration centers on COBRA’s three 2025 driver models: the DS-ADAPT X, DS-ADAPT LS and DS-ADAPT MAX-K. The 460cc X is what we can consider the “standard” model. The LS is the 445cc low-spin model while the MAX-K is COBRA’s 10K MOI driver.
COBRA always does a great job with the graphics on these limited-edition releases. The Palm Tree Crew driver features – what else? – palm trees. There’s colorful palm imagery all over the sole. You’ll also find a nice, subtle little palm tree alignment marker on the crown.
Who the heck is Palm Tree Crew?
Through the magic of Google, Wikipedia and a call to one of my kids, I was able to get that part figured out. (I could have asked Connor at MyGolfSpy. He’s our resident youth culture expert because, well, he’s young. After our last HR incident, however, I decided to give him a break.)
Palm Tree Crew is part of PTC Holdings, a diversified company than also runs music festivals and an investment firm. Palm Tree Crew is the lifeststyle and apparel wing of the company.
Somewhere along the way, Kygo struck up a friendship with Rickie Fowler. That would ultimately lead to Palm Tree Crew’s golf collaborations with PUMA and COBRA.
So I wasn’t that far off.
