Harris English WITB: The Clubs Behind His Early 2025 Victory

Harris English won the Farmer’s Insurance Open in January. It was his first win since 2021 but his fifth individual title. Since turning professional in 2011, he has played in 342 events. English carries PING clubs from the driver to the putter. However, the most interesting thing about his WITB is the clubs he hasn’t upgraded in quite a while.

Harris English golf bag (March 2025): At a glance

Harris English is a PING staff player who uses a Titleist golf ball.

PING G430 LST (10.5˚) PING G400 (14.5˚) PING G410 Crossover (3) PING Blueprint T (4-9) PING Glide 4.0 (46, 52˚,56˚), PING Glide Forged (60.˚) PING Scottsdale HoHum Titleist Pro V1 Golf Ball

Driver: PING G430 LST

The PING G430 LST driver has been around for a few years. It was officially released to the public in January 2023. We included it in our 2023 Best Golf Driver test and found it struggled with forgiveness, mostly due to the lower spin.

For most amateur players, the PING G430 MAX 10K is the better choice. It won the Best Golf Driver of 2024 and came in second in the 2025 testing. If you are new to PING drivers, it’s a good starting point. The LST is for higher swing-speed players who want to keep spin rates down.

Fairway wood: PING G400

If you thought English’s driver was old, look at his fairway wood. The PING G400 3-wood was originally released in 2017. We are noticing more professionals leaving fairway woods in the bag for years. They find something they like and stick with it. (A lesson for us all?)

Utility iron: PING G410 iCrossover

In our 2024 testing, the PING iCrossover was the best driving iron for accuracy, second-best for distance and third-best for forgiveness. While the PING G410 is a bit older, PING does a good job mixing subjective appeal with performance that better players seek in a utility iron.

Irons: PING Blueprint T

Four PGA Tour professionals are using the Blueprint T irons from PING. In addition to English, Corey Conners, Stewart Cink and Austin Eckroat all have the Blueprint T in play.

The PING Blueprint T irons are known for their precision, workability and elite-level performance. They are “Tour pro” irons through and through, with a muscle-back blade design and forged 8620 carbon steel.

English has had the Blueprint T irons in play for a year.

Wedges: PING Glide and PING Glide Forged

English has four PING wedges: the 46-, 52- and 56-degree PING Glide 4.0. In addition, he has a 60-degree PING Glide Forged.

We tested the PING Glide 4.0 in 2023 and it earned a top-10 finish. The Glide 4.0 features a precision-machined face and grooves and a textured face blast for increased spin and consistency.

Putter: PING Scottsdale Hohum

The PING Scottsdale HoHum is a 2010 release from PING. While it hasn’t been English’s putter of choice his entire career, I looked back at some older WITB and found it there as early as 2019.

Interestingly, the putter also helped English win his first PGA Tour title in 2013. It was again in the bag for his 2021 Sentry Tournament of Champions victory and, most recently, the Farmer’s Insurance Open. I’m not sure there is any reason to take it out!

The PING HoHum is known for its soft face and helpful alignment features. If you want one, you’ll have to search the used market but it might be worth the hunt based on English’s success.

Final thoughts

Harris English has a golf bag full of PING clubs and an early 2025 victory with them. The PING G430 MAX 10K just took second place in our Best Golf Driver testing for 2025.
