I Love These 3 Sunday Swagger Polos. The 4th? Not So Much

Folks, I’m no Marty Hackel. I’m not even the apparel guy around here. Frankly, I had never heard of Sunday Swagger (maybe I did but forgot) before the announcement of their new Spring Collection hit my inbox.

I can’t tell you anything about their materials, quality or fit, but I can tell you that the company was “founded in 2019 by visionary entrepreneur Mark Carmona to redefine and push the boundaries of golf fashion” and is a company that “never sacrifices comfort for personality.”

I tell you what, the golf apparel game sure has gotten serious. And while I’m as cynical as usual about all of it, I’m also almost of the generation that will click on absolutely anything.

So, yeah, you got me, PR person. You made me look.

Perusing the spring drop, I found three things I really like and one polo I wouldn’t put on my worst enemy’s corpse.

The 3 Sunday Swagger Polos I’d Actually Wear

Astro

If the Vice drip golf ball were a polo, it would be the Sunday Swagger Astro (or any of the other seven or so similarly splattered colorways). Whites, blues, red, pink … take your pick.

I love this, if only because it might help hide anything I happen to spill on myself during a round. Which, let’s be honest, is a statistical certainty. It’s basically a Jackson Pollock painting you can wear and, frankly, that’s exactly the kind of camouflage a man with my eating habits needs.

Operation Fairway

Golfers love a good camo print and I’m no different. Who doesn’t want to feel invisible when searching for their ball in the darkest shadows of the tree line?

I’m John Cena in this shirt.

I suppose that’s why, despite having just dropped, it’s sold out in every size. Maybe they’ll restock, maybe it’s already too late. If you frequently find yourself in water hazards, you could try their “Ride the Lightning” pattern instead. Nothing says, “I’m about to chunk this ball straight into the pond,” like dressing for the occasion.

Overglow

Like many married men, I enjoy anything that might embarrass my wife. So, while she almost certainly wouldn’t approve of this leafy pink design, my much more fashion-forward daughter would.

Why the leaves? Who cares. You had me at pink. I’m all in on this one.

The pattern is loud enough to distract your playing partners during their backswing but not so loud that the course marshal will ask you to leave. It’s the perfect balance.

The Sunday Swagger Polo I Wouldn’t Wish on My Worst Enemy

Beach Bum

While some might say my colleague Connor Lindeman loves a good print, I’d tell you he loves a bad one even more. Still, I wouldn’t force the Sunday Swagger Beach Bum on him (even though I’m sure he’d love it).

The Beach Bum takes the leaves of the Overglow and adds flowers. I don’t love that to begin with but fundamentally white is always risky (at least for me). Between hot dogs (mustard), burgers (ketchup) and Transfusions (grape juice), there’s no way this ends anyway other than me looking even more ridiculous than I would when the shirt was clean.

It’s the kind of shirt that’s basically a ticking time bomb counting down to the exact moment when you’ll be taking a group photo with people you’re trying to impress.

Hard pass.

Final thoughts

There’s plenty more in Sunday Swagger’s Spring Collection that I didn’t cover. Some of it good, some of it … well, let’s just say it’s “not for me.” But that’s the beauty of golf fashion in 2025 – there’s something for everyone, from the traditional navy-and-khaki crowd to whatever Connor is wearing today.

Check out everything in the Sunday Swagger Spring Collection and let me know which are your favorites. Better yet, tell me which ones would make your significant other question your fashion judgment the most. Those are usually the best ones.

Editor’s note: No actual golf fashion experts were consulted in the writing of this piece. The author’s closet consists primarily of free polos from golf equipment launches and plain T-shirts. Proceed with caution.
