The start of the new year also signals a changing of the guard on the sponsorship front. Perhaps overshadowed by the news of Tiger Woods leaving NIKE and Jason Day signing with Malbon is this: lululemon just signed Min Woo Lee, a budding golfer from Australia, to an apparel deal.
“I’m excited to partner with lululemon to bring my sense of fun and freshness to the game and lead the way for a new generation of golfers,” said Min Woo. “The quality of lululemon’s golf collection speaks for itself – it’s smart, clean, and stylish, which is exactly how I want to feel on the course.”
Min Woo is Lululemon’s first PGA Tour player, but not their first professional athlete. Current athletes in the Canadian athleisure giant’s stable include fellow golfer Lydia Ko, NBA Star Jordan Clarkson and Seattle Seahawks wideout DK Metcalf.
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the last decade, you’re familiar with lululemon. The brand’s cult-like following and penchant for buttery-soft fabrics has them poised for a big 2024.
Now, with Min Woo on staff, perhaps lululemon can gain some market share on the links from competitors like Greyson, Ralph Lauren and more.
While we don’t know quite yet what Min Woo will be rocking from the brand, we’ve hand-picked some of our lululemon golf favorites for you to snag just in time for the season.
