Malbon, Bushmills Put on Whiskey Glasses for New Collab

Malbon, Bushmills Put on Whiskey Glasses for New Collab

“Oh, Danny boy, the fairways, the fairways are calling …”

The odds are slim that we will hear Aussie Jason Day whistling this tune but the odds are good that he now has reason to do so

Malbon Golf has been no stranger to the golf apparel headlines this year. With recent releases leaving modern golf fans divided and traditionalists in a tizzy, you can’t deny that Malbon moves the needle. So how does a golf brand continue to drum up attention without seeming desperate? Enter their latest team-up.

In July, Malbon announced that their newest collab will be with the oldest licensed distillery in Northern Ireland.

Yes, you read that last sentence right: a distillery. And not just any whiskey factory.

Enter Bushmills Irish Whiskey. Known for more than 400 years of distilling history, Bushmills has teamed with Malbon Golf to release a collaboration which aims to “shake up the traditional whiskey and golf pairing and encourages fans to chart their own course both on the green and at the pub.”

The multi-piece collection features an assortment of items, from a custom leather flask designed to hold your favorite adult beverage and tees (the first-ever release from Malbon), to T-shirts, a crew-neck sweater and two hats all emblazoned with the “Buckets S. Thompson” cartoon we all know and love. Each design incorporates elements of the Malbon and Bushmills spirit to encourage golfers to continue to “chart their own course” on and off the links. It’s perfect for a quick range session or when you are enjoying a whiskey neat during coverage of your favorite tournament.

The newest line of apparel may not draw the attention or ire of the patrons like Jason Day did at Augusta but Malbon continues to encourage golfers to showcase their own style while also paying homage to the tradition and legacy of Bushmills Irish Whiskey. A distillery known for not compromising and a golf brand associated with pushing the boundaries: seems like a match made in (19th hole) heaven.

“Just as we at Malbon are always looking to push the envelope when it comes to golf apparel, Bushmills has also been doing their own thing in the whiskey space since 1608,” says Stephen Malbon, founder of Malbon Golf. “It’s with that spirit in mind that we created this collection for anyone who charts their own course, on or off the green”
