MullyBox Golf Subscription Box Review
There is a lot of cool gear in the golf equipment world that doesn’t always fit neatly into Most Wanted Tests or Buyer’s Guides. You still want to know how it performs. In our We Tried It series, we put gear to the test and let you know if it works as advertised.
What We Tried:
Mullybox Golf Subscription Box. A subscription service that ships cool golf gear to your door every three months.
Who Tried It:
Connor. Director of Soft Goods Testing and resident sneakerhead. I believe golf is better with a pair of cool shoes and comfortable joggers
Would my wife kill me if she found out I was getting a quarterly golf gear box? Probably. But I’m risking it all to give you a real review of the self-proclaimed “No. 1 Subscription Box in Golf.”
How Does It Work?
Mullybox provides a very simple interface to help you get started. Fill out the subscription form and you’ll be well on your way to your first Mullybox delivery.
Subscription to Mullybox requires the following information:
Gender Shirt size Style (choose from Athletic, Fun, or Mix it Up) Glove hand Glove sizeOnce you’ve filled out the subscription flow, you can decide which of the two Mullyboxes you want.
What’s the Difference Between the Mullybox and MB Apparel Box?
The traditional Mullybox features golf gear and apparel including accessories, training aids and more. The traditional Mullybox features nearly $250 of value for $119 per quarter. The apparel-only Mullybox contains a polo, hat, golf belt and golf socks. The MB Apparel box provides a little less value ($150 in apparel) for the quarterly price of $94.99.I opted for the Mullybox because I need help with both my fashion and form.
Mullybox Review: My Experience
If I want new golf gear, I’d rather pick it out myself. Even my wife knows not to get me anything related to golf without asking first. Some might say I’m a little picky.
But that’s neither here nor there. The fun (or scary) part about Mullybox is you never know what you’re going to get. And while it was hard to put aside my pride, I did willingly let Mullybox do their job and choose gear for me. All for the greater good, right?
Despite my worries, I was pleasantly surprised by what I found on delivery day. Here are a few of the items I’m most excited about:
Waggle Cactus Prick Snapback (consider me a fan) Pins & Aces Beer Sleeve (compatible with Diet Coke) Golf socks and a polo Mullybox-branded Joker ball markerMy box also included some necessary items like golf tees and a golf ball line stencil.
Mullybox Subscription Box: Is it Worth It?
If the first Mullybox delivery is any indication of what’s to come with future quarterly deliveries, color me intrigued. I was not disappointed at all with my golf gear haul. That said, it’s well within the realm of possibility that future Mullyboxes may not be as exciting. But that’s part of the mystery you’re signing up for.
All in all, I would say that if you want golf gear but don’t want to do the shopping or perhaps want an easy way to discover some new golf brands you’ve never heard of, Mullybox is a solid choice.
I’d let Mullybox pick out my golf gear again in a heartbeat. Use code SPY50 at checkout and receive 50-percent off your first box!
