NOW HIRING: MGS Videographer/Video Editor
CAN YOU CREATE BADASS VIDEOS LIKE THIS?
Do you want to work for a company that values innovation and gives you the creative space to bring your vision to life?
Then you’ve come to the right place. MyGolfSpy is searching the globe for the right person to help take our content team to the next level.
JOB EXPECTATIONS
We want a new team member with vision and the ambition to turn a vision into reality.
We’re a collaborative group with lots of ideas, so our new videographer will have to be a team player and team leader. As MyGolfSpy grows, so does our content output. The right videographer and editor will bring an idea from the discussion table to our reader’s screens.
You will lead brainstorming meetings and create storyboards. You have the freedom to design shoots and sets in a way that you think best tells our story and gives life to what we want to portray. You’ll also operate the camera, lighting and microphone equipment (we can talk about the equipment we have in-house when you apply). Then you’ll weave everything together in your preferred editing program. (We use Adobe CC for now, but we’re always open to better)
This is a full-time, benefited, in-house position.
Basically, that means you’ll work in our facility Monday-Friday (yes, a sports job with NO WEEKENDS! We don’t want to know what you do on the weekends… really), you get health insurance, retirement savings options and lots of opportunities to play golf. Unless you don’t like golf, that’s fine too. But do you have to like filming golf equipment.. that’s kinda the whole point here.
Required Experience
None. Some. All of it?
We don’t care if you’ve been a professional shooter/editor before or are creating kick-ass video content out of your mom’s basement.
We don’t care. If you’re good, you’re good.
Obviously, you should have some proficiency in professional equipment and software, and the personality to take initiative and get what you need from the content team. Otherwise, just show us some of your best work.
What’s it Like to Work at MyGolfSpy?
Thank you for asking, we’d love to share.
We pride ourselves on being different. You’ve probably heard that before.. doesn’t every company say that in the interview process? Let’s rephrase. We pride ourselves on being non-corporate. What does that mean for you? It means we want all of our employees to have ownership of their position and their work. There’s no hierarchy, only different parts in a well-oiled machine. Everyone’s role is different and important.
But don’t take it from us, here’s what our newest employee had to say.
“We’re a close group of misfits who have a habit of changing the way golfers see the game, one day at a time” -Bennett Green, Social Media Manager
“If you’re the type of person that thrives on creativity and is okay with the construct that no idea is too bizarre or out there, you’ll find you’re in good company”- Chris Nickel, Director of Business Development
“If you’re looking for a job that doesn’t feel like a job, this is the one for you. It’s a small company with huge potential that keeps the golf industry honest. It’s a perfect time to join the team” -Harry Nodwell, Senior Director of Product Testing
There you have it. We’re a hodgepodge group of people that are better together than on our own and like to do good work. We just need you to help put our work into motion and in front of the consumers that we go to bat for every day.
Small side note, we get two Mental Health Weeks a year. The entire company shuts down for the sake of our employee’s sanity…twice. enough said?
How To Apply
Ah, so you’re interested. Good. We want to hear from you.
This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. is the place to submit your application.
Send us your resume (if you have one) and some examples of your best work.
Tell us who you are and why you want to be a part of the MyGolfSpy team. Don’t be afraid to stand out. We like weird, we like different, we like creative. It’s also A-ok if you’re totally “normal” too… might be a nice change of pace for us.
We’re ready to be wowed by your creations and to find the right person to help take MyGolfSpy to new heights.
