PING Releases Next Generation of Clubs that Grow with Your Kids

Does your kid need new clubs?

If you’re in the market or might be soon enough, PING has announced the next generation of its Prodi G line of junior golf clubs.

And when I say juniors, I mean kids, not those teenagers generating 115 mph of ball speed.

Rather than offer a fixed set, the Prodi G lineup consists of 10 clubs and two putters. The idea is that you can mix and match as needed to build the perfect set for your junior golfer.

The obvious question is, how do I know what clubs to buy?

To tackle that challenge, PING has released a junior version of its Webfit app. Public-facing (you don’t need to go to a PING fitting account to use it), the app will ask basic questions about skill, age, wrist-to-floor measurements and driver distance.

From there, the app will recommend the Prodi G configuration that PING’s algorithms think will work best.

PING Prodi G Options

Options include a 14-degree titanium driver, 22-degree fairway wood, 28-degree hybrid, 6-9 irons, PW, 54-degree S Grind and 58-degree H Grind wedges.

Putter options include the Anser and Thyne H, giving you a choice between a blade and a mallet.

Hoofer Prodi G golf bags are available in two sizes (30 and 34 inches). They feature a four-way top with adjustable straps and an aluminum bag stand.

Get Golf Growing

With the release of the new Prodi G lineup, PING is continuing its Get Golf Growing program. With that, you get a one-time, no-cost adjustment to Prodi G sets of five or more clubs. To that end, PING Prodi G clubs feature PING’s custom tuning ports to make swing weight changes (likely resulting from longer and perhaps heavier shafts) simple.

The idea is that PING knows your kids are going to grow and the company believes the clubs should grow with them (one time, anyway).
