PUMA x Palm Tree Crew (Part 2)

PUMA x Palm Tree Crew (Part 2)

I know what you’re thinking. Didn’t PUMA drop a collection with Palm Tree Crew just a few months ago?

Yes, they did. Am I mad that the two brands are teaming up again for an exclusive summer apparel collection? An emphatic “no.”

Today, PUMA announced yet another apparel collaboration with lifestyle brand Palm Tree Crew (PTC). The newest installment in PUMA and PTC’s history of collaborations features vibrant colors and prints to keep you looking and feeling cool this blistering summer.

Not for nothing, this could be my favorite PUMA x PTC collaboration to date. Let’s take a closer look at what I’m dubbing the “Magnificent ‘Mingos.”

PUMA x PTC Release Details

Available now at PUMA Full line of apparel and accessories for men and women Includes two golf shoes: IGNITE Malibu (women) and all-new ALPHACAT NITRO (men) Pink, white and black color palette with pink flamingos

Behind the Design

PUMA x PTC collection

In case you missed the last drop, here’s a little background on PUMA and PTC’s relationship.

Palm Tree Crew is a lifestyle brand founded by renowned DJ KYGO. The relationship started through a natural friendship between Rickie Fowler (PUMA’s premier staffer) and KYGO who just so happens to be an avid golfer.

The rest, as they say, is history. The two brands have worked hand in hand on multiple collaborations to date, none of which is more fun than the latest. Do you know what golf apparel has been missing? Flamingos.

Fun fact: Flamingos aren’t naturally pink in color. Their distinctive color is due to their food. Brine shrimp and certain algae carry the color pigment beta-carotene which in effect dyes the “mingos” feathers pink.

Enough zoology! Let’s see the darned apparel, already!

Flamboyant flamingo patterns aren’t for everyone but I can’t get enough. Between the sweet polo shirts, the fun golf dress and blinding pink shorts, there’s plenty of ‘mingos to go around.

The piece de resistance, however, has to be the brand-new PUMA ALPAHCAT NITRO golf shoes. I referred to the ALPHACAT NITRO as PUMA’s best performance golf shoe to date and this special PTC edition is legit.

I can’t promise better scores but I’ll be darned if the PUMA x PTC summer collection doesn’t give you a leg up in the fashion department.

Just Can’t Get Enough

I doubt you had a Black Eyed Peas reference on your MyGolfSpy bingo card but it had to be done. When Fergie sang the line, “I think about it every night and day,” followed by “I’m addicted and I just can’t get enough,” she must have been foreshadowing the release of this PUMA x PTC collection.

The PUMA x PTC collection is available now.
