SPOTTED: Kirkland Signature Adjustable Driver

Days after the anticipated release of the Kirkland Signature Irons, the new Kirkland Signature Adjustable Driver just hit Costco.com

Priced to move ($199), the Kirkland Signature Adjustable Driver, as the name suggests, features an 10.5 degree head with an adjustable hosel. Can this driver take the crown as the undisputed value champ?

Here’s what you need to know about what could be the best deal in golf.

Right handed only True Temper EvenFlow Riptide Graphite Shaft (Stiff and Regular Flex) Lamkin Crossline 360 Grip 10.5 Degree Loft (Loft settings: 9.5, 10.5, 10.5 Draw, 11.5) Includes Headcover and Wrench Multi-material construction

What We Know About the Kirkland Signature Adjustable Driver

jQuery( document ).ready( function( $ ) { var slides = $( '#mgs_gallery_657cbfb24fed1 .mgs-gallery-images .mgs-gallery-image' ).length; if ( slides 6 ) { slides = 6; } $( '#mgs_gallery_657cbfb24fed1 .mgs-gallery-images' ).slick( { slidesToShow: 1, slidesToScroll: 1, fade: true, prevArrow: '', nextArrow: '', asNavFor: '#mgs_gallery_657cbfb24fed1 .mgs-gallery-thumbs', swipe: false, mobileFirst: true, } ); $( '#mgs_gallery_657cbfb24fed1 .mgs-gallery-thumbs' ).slick( { slidesToShow: ( slides - 1 ), //less than number of slides, so it always shows infinite scroll (bugfix) slidesToScroll: 1, arrows: false, asNavFor: '#mgs_gallery_657cbfb24fed1 .mgs-gallery-images', centerMode: true, focusOnSelect: true, infinite: true, mobileFirst: true, responsive: [ { breakpoint: 1023, settings: { slidesToShow: 3, }, }, { breakpoint: 600, settings: { slidesToShow: 1, }, }, ], } ); $( '#mgs_gallery_657cbfb24fed1' ).magnificPopup( { delegate: '.mgs-gallery-trigger', type: 'image', gallery: { enabled: true, arrowMarkup: '', }, } ); } );

I’ll be honest, we won’t know a whole lot about performance until we get this baby in hand (don’t worry, it’s on the way). That said, there are a few things we can infer (and predict) based on the product photos.

Multi-Material Construction

The Kirkland Signature Driver features multi-material construction. It has a carbon composite crown, titanium sole and a titanium face with variable face thickness (fairly standard overall).

Back Weighting

The Kirkland Signature Driver features one weight port in the back, which should promote high launch and higher MOI overall. You’ve probably seen this specific EvenFlow Riptide Shaft before, too. Does the Callaway Maverik ring a bell?

Adjustablility

While the Kirkland Signature Driver comes only in a 10.5 degree loft, the adjustable hosel will provide you with some ability to dial in your launch. With 4 different settings, including a draw-biased setting, it’s highly impressive that Costco was able to offer adjustability at the draw-dropping price point.

Déjà Vu

Does it look a little familiar? In my mind the Kirkland Signature Driver is reminiscent of the similarly priced 2021 PXG 0211 Driver. Maybe it’s a little more Titleist than PXG. Who am I to say?

In any case, the weight placement, coupled with the loft sleeve adjustments should make this driver suitable for the budding golfer. (and for just $199, why the heck not?)

Testing Coming Soon

We’ve got a couple of these beauties on the way to HQ. In any case, you’ll be the first to know our thoughts and impressions.

As soon as we’ve got performance data to share, we will. But know this: at less than $200, the Kirkland Signature Adjustable Driver will no doubt compete for the “Best Value” superlative in our 2024 Most Wanted Driver Testing.
