Spotted: Kirkland Signature Players Distance Irons
Kirkland Signature Players Distance Irons are officially here. Or, at least, they were available for a sliver of time.
By our reasoning, the irons SOLD OUT by 1pm EST. Are you surprised? I didn’t think so. For $499, they weren’t going to last long. Plus, it is Kirkland Signature. They’re on the map.
What You Need To Know
Earlier in the year, first generation Kirkland Signature irons were spotted on the USGA’s conforming list. Golf enthusiasts were giddy and so were we. Needless to say, Saturday morning rang the bells of Christmas a few weeks early. Here is a breakdown of the new Kirkland Signature Players Distance Irons:
FEATURES
$499 Only Available in Right Hand True Temper Elevate 115g Steel Shaft Lamkin Crossline 360 Grip 7 piece set; 4-9 iron and Pitching Wedge Regular and Stiff FlexTECHNOLOGY & DESIGN
Kirkland Signature Players Distance Irons feature a multi-material construction – stainless steel body, injected urethane insert, and an internal tungsten weight.
Does this construction ring any bells? It is common, albeit, there are subtle differences in design concepts to the likes of TaylorMade P790s, Mizuno Pro 225s, PING i500s, etc. You get the picture. The Kirkland Signature Irons offer the ideal blend of distance, forgiveness, and playability.
Gone In A Flash
Golfers everywhere were anticipating Costco to release these irons. It was just a matter of “when”. Much to Costco’s credit, they are a tight lipped machine. A Saturday morning text, a post on X (I almost said “tweet”), or a post on Instagram were the only means of knowing about this release.
And, if you didn’t see any of those communications, you were SOL. Did you want a new set of irons for Christmas? Unlikely to happen now since the irons were gone in a flash.
As to when the Kirkland Signature Players Distance Irons will be back in stock, your answer is as good as ours. Stay tuned.
Testing Coming Soon
While we don’t have the Kirkland Signature Players Irons in hand quite yet, you’ll be the first to know when we do. And when we do, we’ll provide the full report on whether or not the newest sticks from Costco are worth your cash.
