SuperStroke Finds Perfect Match With Good Good
SuperStroke recently announced a brand ambassador partnership with Good Good, golf content creators who are approaching 1.5 million YouTube subscribers.
With the signing, Good Good’s personalities will be playing SuperStroke grips in competition and on their own channels. There are also Good Good-themed grips available. The putter grip, which launched March 21 before being sold out, and the new iron grips are expected to be in stock by the end of April.
Other parts of the deal include SuperStroke’s sponsoring of Good Good videos and tournaments.
“I think Good Good is such a unique part of the game of golf,” said SuperStroke Brand Manager T.J. Liberati. “They bring a lot of people to the game that the PGA Tour and others can’t bring. I mean, we’re all big fans of Good Good here, so it was kind of a no brainer.”
Liberati explained that SuperStroke has been focusing on YouTube influencers as part of their marketing strategy over the past two years. Jordan Spieth, who is sponsored by SuperStroke, has the same representation as Good Good (WME), which helped start the relationship.
It took a few months to make the partnership official, leading to the release of the SuperStroke Zenergy Pistol 2.0 grip featuring the Good Good logo and a distinctive white-and-light-blue colorway. The grip debuted on Good Good’s newest premier putter line and, moving forward, will be offered standard on Good Good’s popular blade, large blade and mallet putters.
The S-Tech Golf Club Grip is designed for golfers who demand the ultimate in feedback and control. SuperStroke created this performance-driven grip with a premium engineered rubber compound that provides optimal softness and tack.
Once back in stock, you can buy the grips individually on both the Good Good and SuperStroke golf sites.
Liberati said that the partnership is important for SuperStroke to show the quality of its other grips that go beyond the putter. SuperStroke’s putter grip is already popular, but the club grip is still trying to gain traction. You can expect new color variations and designs as part of this deal, he said.
“I don’t think it’s a secret that a lot of people know about the putter grip but not so much about the club grip,” Liberati said. “I think that’s an important part of this partnership, to bring exposure to how we also do swing grips. I think with these guys playing them, it will show it’s obviously a great grip even if not a lot of people know about it.”
Beyond the new grips coming out, SuperStroke is open-minded about what the partnership could bring.
“We’re along for that ride with whatever they want to do and whatever way we can assist that and help promote it and make the grips even better,” Liberati said. “I think these guys are a really good fit for our brand and they represent what the game of golf is turning into.”
In 2023, SuperStroke users won 72 tournaments on golf’s major professional tours, totaling more than $47.5 million in first-place prize money in those events. The legitimacy of the grips is part of why Good Good decided to partner with them.
