TGL’s Longest And Most Accurate: The Drivers Behind The Stats
While it’s easy to say it’s the golfer, not the club, for amateur golfers chasing even a fraction of a 330-yard drive or hoping to find more fairways, it’s impossible not to be curious about what the pros are using.
We recently looked at the longest hitters on the PGA Tour and the drivers they trust. Now, we’re turning our attention to TGL, breaking down the numbers behind the biggest drivers in the league and the clubs the players are using.
TGL driving stats at a glance

Min Woo Lee (Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond)
Min Woo Lee is the hands-down leader of driving stats for TGL. He ranks first in ball speed, distance and swing speed and second in fairways hit. He’s been hitting the fairway more than 90 percent of the time at over 330 yards.
Lee plays with the Best Golf Driver of 2025, according to MyGolfSpy testing, in which we saw the Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond get high marks for distance and accuracy.
Stat | Rank | Value |
---|---|---|
Ball Speed | 1st | 190.3 MPH |
Distance | 1st | 332.0 YDS |
Swing Speed | 1st | 130.5 MPH |
Fairways Hit | 2nd | 90.9% |
Wyndham Clark (Titleist GT3)
Wyndham Clark is strong in the distance category and not far behind when it comes to fairways hit.
He is playing the Titleist GT3, ranked fifth for distance in our test. The GT3 is a mid- to lower-spinning model built for mid-to high swing speeds with a highly adjustable track weighting system.
Stat | Rank | Value |
---|---|---|
Ball Speed | 3rd | 187.1 MPH |
Distance | 2nd | 328.3 YDS |
Swing Speed | 2nd | 129.0 MPH |
Fairways Hit | T-10th | 68.8% |
Rory McIlroy (TaylorMade Qi10)
Rory McIlroy has changed his driver a few times recently. He switched this year to the Qi35 and then switched back to the Qi10 for the time being. TaylorMade still shows McIlroy playing with the Qi35 on their website but he says he will keep the Qi10 in play for now. Distance has always been a strong point in Rory’s game but he’s not swinging the club quite as fast as Min Woo Lee.
Stat | Rank | Value |
---|---|---|
Ball Speed | 2nd | 187.4 MPH |
Distance | 7th | 321.9 YDS |
Swing Speed | 3rd | 127.1 MPH |
Fairways Hit | T-11th | 66.7% |
Cameron Young (Titleist GT2)
Cameron Young is playing with the longest driver of the year, according to MyGolfSpy testing, the Titleist GT2. The GT2 outranked all other drivers in the test for carry distance, total distance and ball speed. If you look at these stats, you’ll see that Young is ranked ninth for swing speed and third for overall distance.
That says something about the GT2’s distance-producing capability. We noticed during testing that you’ll likely give up some accuracy and forgiveness when you chase those extra yards and you can see that Young’s fairway hit percentage drops under 65 percent compared to Lee’s 90.
Stat | Rank | Value |
---|---|---|
Ball Speed | 4th | 186.0 MPH |
Distance | 3rd | 328.1 YDS |
Swing Speed | 9th | 122.8 MPH |
Fairways Hit | T-14th | 62.5% |
Xander Schauffele (Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond)
Xander Schauffele is in the top five for ball speed and swing speed and sixth overall for distance. Most importantly, he is hitting more than 80 percent of fairways at over 320 yards. This combination of distance and accuracy is what we see from Min Woo Lee with this same Triple Diamond in his hands.
Stat | Rank | Value |
---|---|---|
Ball Speed | 5th | 185.0 MPH |
Distance | 6th | 323.5 YDS |
Swing Speed | 5th | 123.7 MPH |
Fairways Hit | T-3rd | 83.3% |
Tony Finau (PING G430 LST)
The PING G430 LST was one of the top drivers of 2024 and Tony Finau still has It in the bag. You’ll notice that despite having high swing speed and ball speed, Finau ranks 11th for distance. However, he’s tied for seventh for fairways hit.
This is one of those perfect examples of an accuracy/distance trade-off in the clubs you choose to carry in your bag. Hitting 75 percent of fairways with 315 yards of total distance is a stat any amateur player would dream of and the LST is now only $399.
Stat | Rank | Value |
---|---|---|
Ball Speed | 6th | 183.8 MPH |
Distance | 11th | 315.7 YDS |
Swing Speed | 4th | 124.6 MPH |
Fairways Hit | T-7th | 75.0% |
Ludvig Aberg (Titleist GT2)
Ludvig Aberg says it takes a lot for him to change clubs. He sometimes throws the TSR2 bag into play but the GT2 seems to be helping him generate some extra distance. His swing speed is 10th overall but he managed a top five for overall distance.
Stat | Rank | Value |
---|---|---|
Ball Speed | 7th | 181.8 MPH |
Distance | 5th | 324.5 YDS |
Swing Speed | 10th | 122.2 MPH |
Fairways Hit | 6th | 77.8% |
Justin Thomas (Titleist GT2)
Justin Thomas is the fourth-longest TGL player at nearly 325 yards. Again, he is not the fastest when it comes to swing speed but he’s generating quite a bit of extra yardage with the GT2 in play.
Stat | Rank | Value |
---|---|---|
Ball Speed | 9th | 180.1 MPH |
Distance | 4th | 324.6 YDS |
Swing Speed | 8th | 122.8 MPH |
Fairways Hit | 16th | 57.1% |
Lucas Glover (Titleist GT2)
Lucas Glover is the most accurate of the TGL players, hitting 100 percent of fairways. The problem is he’s about 35 yards shorter on average than the longest drivers. Glover’s swing speed is not as high and he’s near the bottom of the list in all three speed and distance-related categories, but he can find a fairway.
Stat | Rank | Value |
---|---|---|
Ball Speed | 26th | 166.2 MPH |
Distance | 25th | 294.4 YDS |
Swing Speed | 25th | 112.5 MPH |
Fairways Hit | 1st | 100.0% |
Final thoughts
Stay tuned for more TGL stats as we move into the playoffs. Min Woo Lee has a strong hold on the distance category but Wyndham Clark is not far behind.
