This Club is a Cheat Code

As the self-proclaimed worst golfer at MyGolfSpy, when I say that a certain club is making the game easier, you should listen up.

If something works for someone as bad as me, it’ll probably do wonders for you.

That’s a little facetious but you get the point. I want to make the game easier and I found a club that absolutely fits the bill.

The Ultimate Bunker Club

Recently, I switched into the Vokey SM10 wedges. It’s my first time ever playing Vokeys. Not knowing a whole lot about wedge grinds, I went through Vokey’s Wedge Selector Tool to determine the correct gapping and grinds for my game.

It was suggested that I go with a 60 degree K-grind lob wedge. The rest, as they say, is history.

I’ve never been a good bunker player. I’ve tried a few wedges in my day. Nothing has come close to the ease of my Vokey K-grind lob wedge.

When I say I haven’t missed a bunker shot in the last three months, I mean it. Not only am I getting out of bunkers with ease, I’m actually getting up and down much more often.

Why? That wide, forgiving sole. It almost feels effortless (something I never thought I’d say about bunkers).

The large, wide sole is the signature characteristic of the Vokey K Grind wedge

I still don’t know a whole lot about grinds, and I’m surely not a great golfer by any stretch of the imagination … but this little tweak to my wedge setup has absolutely been a game changer.

I want you to play better golf. The Vokey SM10 K Grind wedge is a great place to start.
