This Polo Aims to Correct Your Posture

This Polo Aims to Correct Your Posture

There is a lot of cool gear in the golf equipment world that doesn’t always fit neatly into Most Wanted Tests or Buyer’s Guides. You still want to know how it performs. In our We Tried It series, we put gear to the test and let you know if it works as advertised.

What We Tried:

Forme Ace+ Polo. This sleek golf polo features a patented posture correction technology. All you have to do is wear it and let the shirt do the work.

Who Tried It:

Connor. Director of Soft Goods Testing and resident sneakerhead. I believe golf is better with a pair of cool shoes and comfortable joggers. My posture is garbage so I’m excited to see if Forme can fix me.

Is it really that easy?

That’s the question I set out to answer as I gave the brand-new Forme Ace+ Polo a thorough test and review.

It’s OK to be skeptical about the posture correction abilities of a polo shirt. Rarely do I think about my poor posture and even more rare is the thought that something as simple as a shirt can help correct it.

Like me, you’re probably wondering how the Forme Ace+ works. Let me break it down for you.

Patented Performance

If you can’t see it, is it really working?

In this case, the technology that Forme relies on for posture correction is hidden beneath the facade of a normal, everyday golf polo.

Forme’s posture correction magic happens thanks to an inner layer of tensile material. This fabric gently engages your muscles and pulls your shoulders and back into alignment.

The best part? You can’t even see it. This discreet technology does a heck of a job of keeping you poised and aligned, too. From the moment I slid the Forme Ace+ Polo on, I could immediately feel the posture-correcting technology working against my natural tendency to slouch—so much so that it’s almost uncomfortable at first. But as you wear the shirt more and more, your body starts to retrain itself to stay in proper alignment and stand with good posture.

Golfing in the Forme Ace+ Polo

As an everyday polo, the Forme Ace+ Polo does a great job at promoting good posture and proper alignment. But does it improve your golf game?

The aim of the Forme Ace+ Polo is to provide you tension-free setup for a more sustainable swing and putting stroke.

My findings were consistent with this claim. I did find the Forme Ace+ Polo really helped me find a more comfortable, natural setup position. I love that the Ace+ Polo looks just like a normal polo. It doesn’t draw attention to itself. My wife had no idea that the shirt was anything special so that’s a major win.

One thing of note is that the posture correction technology adds another layer of material to the polo. This makes it a little less suitable for warm weather, in my opinion. It wouldn’t be something I’d throw on for a 100-degree round. Just something to be aware of.

Have Your Cake and Eat It, Too

Forme Ace Polo BackFrom the back it’s hard to tell that the Forme Ace+ Polo is anything but a normal polo shirt.

Is it really that easy? Yes. The Forme Ace+ Polo does exactly what it’s advertised to do. It’s a difference that you can see and feel immediately. My favorite part is that I don’t have to actively think about it … the shirt does the work without asking for my permission to do so.

In other words, it does the hard work for you.
