Top 4 Used Golf Drivers That Still Crush It Off The Tee (And Cost Under $200)
If a brand-new $699 driver is not in the cards this year, don’t worry. There is still room for an upgrade in your bag. The drivers on this list might not be fresh off the production line but they will be new to you and could give you just the boost you need off the tee. These four used drivers, all tested and proven performers, can be found in average or better condition for under $200. See if any of these used golf drivers could work for your game.
COBRA Darkspeed LS

We tested the COBRA Darkspeed LS in the 2024 Best Golf Driver test. It ranked eighth out of 37 drivers. It’s a low-spin model that also proved effective for a wide range of handicaps. It had high scores for distance and accuracy.
Golfers who already generate a lot of spin in their driver swing will like what the Darkspeed LS has to offer. Some testers did not like the lack of a prominent alignment aid on the crown but, aside from that, the feedback was mostly positive.
With the Darkspeed LS being one of the newer options on this list, you’ll find that used pricing starts at approximately $199.
Callaway Epic Max LS

The Callaway Epic Max LS is a little older than the COBRA Darkspeed LS but it was the best overall driver and best driver for high swing speeds in our 2021 Most Wanted Driver test. It ranked first in Strokes Gained and fourth in total distance.
The Callaway Epic Max LS is long and consistent, a rare combination. The Callaway Epic Max LS is another strong choice for golfers who generate a lot of spin off the tee and need to try to keep that in check.
There are plenty of these out there for around $199 in average condition.
TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus

We tested the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus in 2023 and 2024. It was the best overall driver in 2023 and ranked second for distance. It also ranked in the top five in 2024. It’s a consistent performer that is again a good fit for players who want to try and keep spin lower.
Forgiveness from the Stealth 2 Plus was about average so this may be a better choice for consistent golfers. Many used Stealth 2 Plus models are available for around $250 but we found some for around $199 in average condition.
Titleist TSi3

The Titleist TSi3 was another top performer from our 2021 testing. It was not the most forgiving of the drivers we tested but it managed to secure a first-place finish for the best driver for mid-swing speeds. Golfers in the 90-105 mph range had great distance and Strokes Gained performance with the TSI3.
It’s not easy to find a Titleist driver under $200. Most models in the $179 to $199 range are in below-average condition but you can find a few TSI3s in average condition for around $200.
Final thoughts
Do not rule out used golf drivers. If you are playing something from 10 years ago and want an upgrade without spending top dollar, there are plenty of smart options available. Utilize our testing results from the past few years to ensure you’re not making a purchase decision solely based on price. Get a club that has a history of strong performance.
