Varner surprised by backlash to signing with LIV

Harold Varner III said Wednesday he was surprised by the backlash he received after posting a statement to Instagram explaining his decision to join the LIV Golf Tour. "I hate being hated," said Varner. "I'd rather not even be known than be hated."
