There is a lot of cool gear in the golf equipment world that doesn’t always fit neatly into Most Wanted Tests or Buyer’s Guides. You still want to know how it performs. In our We Tried It series, we put gear to the test and let you know if it works as advertised.
What We Tried:
Short Par 4. A subscription-based golf apparel box delivered straight to your door.
Who Tried It:
Connor. Managing Editor and resident sneakerhead. I’ve tried similar subscription boxes and they’ve always turned out pretty well. The packaging for Short Par 4 is just discreet enough that my wife didn’t pester me with questions when the box showed up at my door.
What Makes Short Par 4 Unique?
There is one big thing that separates Short Par 4 from its competitors: variety. Where similar products have one, two or three options, Short Par 4 offers six distinct subscription options.
Fairway – $54.95 per month ($110 value) for male golfers Magnolia – $99 per month ($200 value) for female golfers Executive – $109.95 per month ($200 value) for male golfers who want more premium gear Junior – $49.94 per month ($100 value) for junior boys and girls Glove Club – Starting at $15 per month (choose one, two or three gloves per month) The Vault – $99 (included with any apparel membership subscription) gives exclusive access to brand-name gear at discounted prices.Easy Does It
This is the big value prop for Short Par 4. Simply answer a few questions about your style and sizes, pick a membership that fits your budget and needs and let them do the work for you.
Is it Worth It?
Just being honest, I’m a huge brand snob. So the Fairway Box may not be the perfect fit for me (I’m better suited for the Executive). But even still, it’s clear that the gear I received was worth more than the price I paid.
I’m a sucker for a good deal and Short Par 4 is just that.
