Don’t Blink: Kith For TaylorMade Will Be Gone Before You Know It

Everyone has a favorite power couple. You’ve got Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Beyonce and Jay-Z.

TaylorMade and Ronnie Fieg’s Kith.

Two years ago, I sat at my computer furiously scrolling through Kith’s website in an attempt to buy anything and everything from the new Kith for TaylorMade collab.

I ended up scoring a set of pins and a sweet hat that I still rock today.

Fast forward to now … the two are once again blurring the ever-fading line between streetwear and golf to bring us a new Kith for TaylorMade collection.

Unwritten Practice Range Etiquette Rules

While some of the standards have evolved over the years, golf remains a game of etiquette.

That doesn’t mean it has to be stuffy and uptight. The etiquette portion, for the most part, refers to common courtesy of other golfers and the course itself. It represents the things you do to ensure the game moves quickly and safely while respecting those around you.

We tend to think of etiquette as how you conduct yourself on the course but it extends beyond that. There is etiquette throughout any facility, including the practice range.

Some parts of practice etiquette are unique to being on a driving range—or more heightened on a range—so I put together a list of previously unwritten practice range etiquette rules.

Airplane Rules For Conversation

When you are on an airplane, the common rule of thumb is that conversation should be held to a minimum. Everyone is sharing the same space so talking excessively during a flight is unnecessary.

Adam Scott ended his longest day in golf with a playoff loss against Cam Davis in a U.S. Open qualifier, and now Scott has to wait a week to see if his alternate status will allow him to extend the longest active streak of playing the majors.

Golf's Longest Day 2024: A Roundup

When one comes to the quality of the bunkers and other hazards we pass into realm of much dispute and argument. Primarily bunkers should be sand bunkers purely, not composed of gravel, stones or dirt. Whether this or that bunker is well placed, has caused more intensely heated arguments outside of the realms of religion, than has ever been my lot to listen to. C.B. MACDONALD

Your Wardrobe Stinks: Try These Instead

One of my favorite sayings is, “Look good, feel good, play good.”

I suppose this is the rationale I use to convince my wife that I need a new golf outfit. The same rationale applies to you, too.

I want nothing more than for you to play good golf and look great doing it. There’s no better time than the present to upgrade your wardrobe.

Not sure where to start? I’ve curated a list and broken them down by price point. Whether you’re a big spender or a penny-pincher, I’ve got an outfit that fits the bill.

Under $100 – Ballin’ On a Budget

jQuery( document ).ready( function( $ ) { var slides = $( '#mgs_gallery_665e30ea7afe2 .mgs-gallery-images .mgs-gallery-image' ).length; if ( slides 6 ) { slides = 6; } $( '#mgs_gallery_665e30ea7afe2 .mgs-gallery-images' ).slick( { slidesToShow: 1, slidesToScroll: 1, fade: true, prevArrow: '', nextArrow: '', asNavFor: '#mgs_gallery_665e30ea7afe2 .mgs-gallery-thumbs', swipe: false, mobileFirst: true, } ); $( '#mgs_gallery_665e30ea7afe2 .mgs-gallery-thumbs' ).slick( { slidesToShow: ( slides - 1 ), //less than number of slides, so it always shows infinite scroll (bugfix) slidesToScroll: 1, arrows: false, asNavFor: '#mgs_gallery_665e30ea7afe2 .mgs-gallery-images', centerMode: true, focusOnSelect: true, infinite: true, mobileFirst: true, responsive: [ { breakpoint: 1023, settings: { slidesToShow: 3, }, }, { breakpoint: 600, settings: { slidesToShow: 1, }, }, ], } ); $( '#mgs_gallery_665e30ea7afe2' ).magnificPopup( { delegate: '.mgs-gallery-trigger', type: 'image', gallery: { enabled: true, arrowMarkup: '', }, } ); } );

Looking for a comprehensive golf outfit for under $100? You’ll probably have to ditch the golf shoes. Even still, you can pick up a slick polo, shorts and even an accessory or two all for under $100. Finding a great fit for under a Benjamin is no small feat but that’s why I love the clearance section.

Spotted: Titleist GT Drivers and Fairway Woods Land on Tour

It’s Memorial Week on the PGA Tour at Muirfield Village, which, among other things, means it’s time for Titleist’s annual teaser.

AKA: it’s time to validate the upcoming Titleist GT metalwoods on the PGA Tour.

Landing on the USGA conforming list today (in time for play at Murfield) is Titleist’s new/upcoming GT metalwoods family.

With that, I have 3 immediate questions:

What’s new, different, improved, etc.?What does “GT” stand for?Hey, didn’t Mizuno use GT?

Questions Without Answers (Mostly)

#3 is the easy one to answer.

Forum Member Review: Haywood CB/MB Irons

There now are more companies that offer irons than ever before. With new direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands constantly entering the market, getting recognized is no easy task. Our Forum member testing platform seeks to highlight many of these brands by getting their products in the hands of our testers. For this member testing opportunity, we had four golfers test, review and keep a combo set of Haywood CB/MB (cavity-back/muscle-back) irons.

About Haywood Golf

Founded in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 2018, Haywood Golf has made a concerted effort to differentiate itself by offering multiple fitting locations worldwide. They build all their clubs in Canada.

Haywood offers four iron models, a driving iron, wedges and two different putter models (one mallet and one blade). Their most recent additions are a driver, fairway woods and hybrid. All their golf clubs are available in right- and left-handed.

With so many DTC brands available to consumers, Haywood separates itself by offering more fitting location options and special runs of copper and black nitride-finish clubs, along with competitive prices and a ton of options.

The Testing Opportunity

Our four testers had the opportunity to be virtually fitted with owner Joshua Haywood. This included a discussion about set makeup and shaft selection to ensure our testers had the best chance of success with their set of Haywood CB/MB irons.

Is Apple Watch the Best Golf Tech Accessory?

As I mentioned in a recent We Tried It article, I was never the biggest accessories guy until I received a running watch and fitness wearable to test for prior stories.

While both have certainly served their respective purpose on and off the course, my entire golf experience changed when I started wearing an Apple Watch. Before anyone asks, no, this is not a sponsored post. Just a story of a guy who has had his eyes opened to arguably the best golf tech companion accessory.

While Apple Watch stans are thinking “Duh,” let me elaborate for anyone who hasn’t harnessed the power of this versatile wearable.

Why Apple Watch?

Developed and designed as the perfect partner to the iPhone when it debuted in April 2015, the Apple Watch allows wearers to do pretty much just about everything they can on their phone without having to take it out of their pocket. In fact, you can even leave your phone at home and still utilize certain functions, features and apps.

But we’re here to talk specifically about golf.
