This Viral Shoe Hack Will Increase Your Stability

I tried a simple shoelace hack so you don’t have to!

Did you know that you can increase stability and lockdown with a simple change to how you tie your shoelaces?

That’s what this viral hack claims to do. Commonly referred to as the Runner’s Loop, the idea is to use the laces to pull your foot back into the heel, thus securing the fit and providing better stability.

I first heard about this hack when I was wear testing Under Armour golf shoes with celebrated biomechanist, JJ Rivet. I’ve since seen the simple hack circulating all around TikTok and Instagram, and figured I’d give it a try.

Can a simple change to how you tie your shoelaces really help you get more out of your golf shoes? Here’s how to recreate the Runner’s Loop.

Where To Sell/Trade Your Golf Clubs

Recently, we talked about the best places to look for used clubs. Today, we are covering the flip side of that equation: Where’s the best place(s) to sell your used clubs to come up with a little extra scratch to fund that next purchase?

While there are, as always, multiple places you can accomplish your goal, we’re going to focus on a few specific spots that offer great value and a safe selling experience for getting you the most out of your used equipment.

Places to Sell Used Golf Clubs In Person

A quick online search will likely show a wide variety of stores to choose from in your vicinity. Just look at the search results from my local area. I count 19 options within an hour’s drive of my location. Depending on where you live, that number could be significantly less (or significantly more)..

1. Local Golf Specialty Store

Our best advice would be to go to a reputable shop that you’d be comfortable buying used clubs from. In my case, that’s a place like Roger Dunn Golf Shops, which not only offers nearly every brand new but a huge selection of used gear as well, often at great prices. They’re a trusted commodity, they have excellent reviews and the many times I’ve been there the staff has always been incredibly friendly and helpful. I mean, anyone who will let me putt for two hours (using every single putter they have) is some kind of patron saint of patience.

There are stores just like this just about everywhere (2nd Swing, PGA TOUR Superstore, Golf Galaxy, etc.) and all are great options.

Quad Questions With Mark Brooks

When one comes to the quality of the bunkers and other hazards we pass into realm of much dispute and argument. Primarily bunkers should be sand bunkers purely, not composed of gravel, stones or dirt. Whether this or that bunker is well placed, has caused more intensely heated arguments outside of the realms of religion, than has ever been my lot to listen to. C.B. MACDONALD

Testers Wanted: T Squared Putters

Hot off their impressive performance in MyGolfSpy Most Wanted testing, we are excited to bring T Squared putters to our member testing platform. The T Squared TS-912 finished third overall and was the best putter from 10 feet. Considering there were 39 putters tested this year, that is impressive. However, the story of how the brand was created and founded blows that out of the water.

About T Squared

I would love to tell the full story here but our own John Barba has already done this must-read article on T Squared which you can read HERE. Instead, I will give you the shorter version. T Squared was created by Tony Tuber in 2018 who, at the time, was just 17 years old.

The company now offers nine putter models, all hand-built and with different customization options. Several of the T Squared models have different finishes, neck options and shaft colors to go along with standard customization options such as dexterity, shaft length and lie angle.

What Is Being Tested

We are looking for four golfers to test, review and keep a custom T Squared putter. The selected testers will have their choice of any model as well as customization options.

We know these performed well in the Most Wanted test but we also want to know how they perform on the course in the hands of our selected testers. How do they feel? What are their strengths and weaknesses? And, ultimately, did they help you have fewer putts per round?

Testers Wanted: Garmin S70 Life Series

Last year, we had a Forum member testing opportunity for the Garmin S70 watch which received great results for its high-end feel, look and performance. For this member testing opportunity, we are taking a different angle, combining the Garmin S70 watch with the Garmin Approach CT10 sensors for a full on- and off-course tracking experience.

A Different Kind Of Member Test

The Garmin S70 Life Series member test is going to take performance and tracking to a new level. While we still want to know how the products perform for our selected testers, this opportunity is just as much about how these products set you up to perform at your best.

The selected testers will go through this long-term testing opportunity (eight weeks) tracking their Body Battery, Sleep Score and HRV (heart rate variability). They will take these measurements before rounds, after rounds and even on off days to see how they can help prepare their bodies for success as well as gauge the effects of their preparation (or lack thereof) on the scorecard. Combined with the Approach CT10 tracking sensors, the selected testers will have access to a full suite of data, stats and more.

The Testing Opportunity

For this Forum member testing opportunity, we are looking for four golfers who are willing to share and explore the full Garmin experience with the S70 watch and Approach CT10 sensors.

These golfers will test, review and keep the watch and sensors, all while tracking their results to see how their day-to-day lives affect their golf rounds or how their golf rounds affect their day-to-day lives! We want to know how they score on good days and bad days, how the whole system works together and if using the Garmin health tracking systems can lower their scores.
