Rule of the Month: Order of Play/Ready Golf

August 2, 2021

When starting a hole, generally the player with the lowest score on the previous hole plays first. After starting a hole, the ball farthest from the hole is usually played first. However, the Rules encourage “ready golf” to help improve pace of play as long as it is done in a safe and responsible manner.

In four-ball play, you and your partner can play in whatever order you think is best when it is your side’s turn to play.

2⃣ Keep shoulders parallel to the ground
3⃣ Hands forward at address
4⃣ Keep face point down target line
5⃣ Keep hands forward and low at impact which will compress the ball into the ground

How To Hit DINGER Draws

How To Do It?

1⃣ Close your stance to the target line
2⃣ Match your hips, shoulders and chest to your feet
3⃣ On the way back, get your club face pointing to the ground
4⃣ Once you hit the ball, you need to get the club head over the head cover. Or when in an event a leaf or divot
5⃣ Hit DINGER draws

You will start hitting it right at first but keep working on it and getting that club face closed more at impact. If you start hooking it, straighten out your stance more and baby draws will happen

How To Hit The Hardest Shot In Golf

How To Do It?

1⃣ Ball just behind middle of stance
2⃣ Keep the clubface square
3⃣ Weight on the left side. Changes on what distance you’re hitting
4⃣ Do NOT transfer weight to your right side
5⃣ Swing to 9 O’Clock

The distances may vary depending on personal ability. For me, this shot is with a 60 degree. Find your distances with whatever club and stick to it
