Testers Wanted: Byrdie Golf Design

Testers Wanted!

It can be hard to keep track of all the new brands entering the golf equipment market. Equally, it is very difficult for those same brands to get noticed. That’s where we come in. For this Testers Wanted opportunity, we are introducing Byrdie Golf Design, a company focused on building golf clubs for a community of golfers looking to enjoy the sport without spending a fortune.

Byrdie Golf Design Clubs

We have a unique testing opportunity with Byrdie Golf Design. Products across their whole lineup will be put to the test including the BGD Essential full bag of golf clubs.

Within their line of golf clubs, Byrdie Golf offers the Gilmore Collection that includes a driver and fairway wood, as well as several iron sets. We have four iron sets that are being made available for testing (the OG, Vandal, Goat and Divot Collections). Finally, applicants can register for the Byrdie Golf Design Grind wedges.

Byrdie Golf Design has put a focus on the amateur golfer, which is evident by the Club Finder Quiz. The quiz is less analytical and more focused on who you are as a golfer. There is a clear tone when taking the quiz that golf should be fun and enjoyable. While the products and performance definitely matter, the enjoyment of being on the course and part of the golfing community should be equally as important.

What Is Being Tested?

We are seeking four golfers to test, review and keep one of the available Byrdie Golf Design products. We want to know how these products perform and how the golf clubs stack up, given their value-based pricing. Should these be the next set for golfers looking to enter the sport? Can they hold their own against  bigger brands? We want you to tell us!

Testers Wanted: Runner Golf Putters

Testers Wanted!

For this Testers Wanted opportunity, we introduce you to RUNNER Golf, a small up-and-coming putter company from France. Founded in 2021 by Simon Linot, the process of getting their putters to market didn’t take too long all things considered. And when they were released RUNNER Golf were rewarded almost immediately when they won the “Best in Show” innovation prize at the 2022 PGA Merchandise Show.

About RUNNER Golf Putters:

Available in three different models (RUNNER original, blade, mallet), this series of putters is packed with technology and RUNNER’s signature moving weights system at the back of each putter. All of the RUNNER golf putters are built in Normandy, France.

They consist of a multi-material modular design with precision-milled 6061 aluminum with weight options and setups to help golfers make more putts. The modular design enables customers to change and upgrade different sections of the putters over time. Furthermore, RUNNER Golf also has a comprehensive self-fitting guide on their website, which will help you choose which one of their putters is best for you.

This AI configuration guide will consist of a handful of questions and takes only a few minutes to complete. The questions are thorough and cover everything from putter preferences to putting grip. At the end, it will give the best recommendation for putter style, weight setting and more.

What Is Being Tested?

For this testing opportunity, we are searching for four golfers who want to test, review and keep a RUNNER Golf putter. The putter for testing will be based on their AI configuration guide.

Little does she know, I’m bringing home golf balls tonight.

Is Golf’s Dress Code Outdated?

Yes.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

But seriously—can we lighten up a little bit? I get it. Golf is a game of tradition. In the same sense, though, golf is a game of advancements. If we didn’t change a thing about golf since its inception, the game would be obsolete by now.

Adapt and thrive or fail to survive.

This is exactly how I view golf’s heinous (yes, heinous) dress code. In what world does it make sense that players on the PGA Tour can’t wear shorts? And don’t even get me started on collared shirts. From the professional ranks to the municipal course, the dress code must change if golf has any shot at bringing in a new cohort of golfers.

FootJoy Enhances Premiere Line With Two New Styles

FootJoy’s iconic Premiere line just got a little dressier.

Say hello to the new Premiere Series Field LX and Premiere Series Bel Air. These two stylish additions to the revered Premiere series of golf shoes are the latest offerings from FootJoy’s flagship lineup.

Predicated on performance, both shoes build upon FootJoy’s Premiere prowess with the addition of details that upgrade the style, too. For the Premiere Series Field LX, this comes in the way of a new leather rand.

The change is purely cosmetic, though the additional leather piece may add a little lateral stability.

As far as the Bel Air is concerned, this female-specific silhouette takes on a classic saddle-shoe styling. The full leather upper is paired with an intricate saddle overlay. As with the Field LX, the Bel Air features the same performance features that make FootJoy’s Premiere Series so popular.
