The Toulon Golf Small Batch Paris celebrates the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics and the current golf gold medalist. The Toulon Paris is based on the Toulon Las Vegas, featuring a Champagne PVD finish and Paris-inspired graphics.Available July 26 at ToulonGolf.com with a MSRP of $1,800.
Golfeur champion de l’année
Toulon Golf unveiled their latest Small Batch putter this week, The Paris. The original plan behind the golden mallet was to commemorate Xander Schauffele’s gold medal win at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Releasing a gold version of Schauffele’s putter right before the start of the 2024 Olympics in Paris seemed like a good marketing plan by Toulon. Perhaps a bit predictable, but a good plan nonetheless.
Then Schauffele and his Toulon Las Vegas won the 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon.
While the Paris may have started as a 2024 Olympics collectible, it now also celebrates the Champion Golfer of the Year and may have become the hottest collectible putter of 2024.
C’est l’heure du golf olympique
Are you excited for the Paris Olympics? I enjoy the Summer Olympics more than the Winter Olympics. The number and diversity of competitions in the summer is fantastic. The Winter Games just look cold.

I case you haven’t guessed, I like golf shoes. I’ve spent the better part of two years with MyGolfSpy testing any golf shoe I can get my hands on. Through various Most Wanted testing seasons and a host of individual golf shoe reviews, I’ve worn more than 125 different pairs.
That’s a lot of shoes. A lot of bad and a lot of good. When you’ve worn as many as I have, you start to take a liking to a few in particular. And while I’ve got a constantly rotating closet, there are a few pairs that I always go back to.
In no particular order, here are my current five favorite golf shoes.*
*This changes frequently and in no way is meant to reflect or replace the best golf shoes from our 2024 testing.
adidas MC80
I’m all about first impressions. The first time I put on the adidas MC80, I was blown away with how comfortable they are. There are few things about the shoe that I don’t love. From the supple full-grain leather upper to the BOOST midsole, the MC80 is a golf shoe that I can’t kick from my current rotation.

Have you been to Topgolf? It’s the first place I was able to experience golf together with my wife.
Topgolf is, by and large, Callaway’s cash cow. Why? Because it’s fun, no-frills and a easy way for the non-golfer to find joy in such a frustrating game.
Its success is largely dependent on those who are new to the game or completely unfamiliar with it. That said, there’s still a host of “serious” golfers that enjoy the occasional round of Angry Birds and a few pretzel bites.
Social media has been a sounding board of opinions on proper etiquette at Topgolf. I’ve seen too many videos of golfers being ridiculed for bringing their own clubs or going through their pre-shot routine like they’re standing on the first tee at Augusta National.
I figured it was time to set the record straight. Whether you’ve never been or you’re a regular, here are the do’s and don’ts of Topgolf.

On Tuesday morning, Bryson DeChambeau posted a video of him playing a two-man scramble with former President Donald Trump.
Less than 24 hours later, the video had gone viral on a trajectory to be the most-watched round of golf in YouTube’s history. Here is where it stood roughly one day after posting:
Around 4.7 million viewsMore than 25,000 commentsDeChambeau had gained more than 350,000 channel subscribers, eclipsing 1.1 million totalMore than $23,000 had been raised by the general public for the Wounded Warrior ProjectBy Friday morning, it had eclipsed 7.6 million views and 33,000 comments. Bryson was approaching 1.2 million subscribers.
The most-watched full round of golf on YouTube I could find is the replay of Tiger Woods’ 2019 Masters victory. That has about 10 million views in more than four years.
The most-watched golf event of all-time belongs to the final round of the 1997 Masters when Woods won in historic fashion. An estimated 44 million people around the world watched the broadcast. It’s also worth noting that 4.5 million people have watched the final round on YouTube since it was posted in 2018.

Scottie Scheffler has become one of the most prominent figures in golf. Here are Scheffler's key wins and honors in his career.
Game on!
Today, TaylorMade teamed up with Bandai Namco and PAC-MAN to release a nostalgic line of golf accessories fit for the course or the arcade.
The TaylorMade | PAC-MAN collection features the same pixelated graphics and all of your favorite PAC-MAN characters including the man (is he a man?) himself and those pesky ghosts Pinky, Blinky, Inky and Clyde.
Forget about the collection for a second. Who decided that the last ghost should be named Clyde? That designer woke up and chose violence. I salute you, Clyde, for being different.
Speaking of different, the entire collection is a fresh blast from the past amidst a sea sometimes underwhelming and uninspiring golf accessories. I’m all for major gear, but I can only handle so many variations of Master’s green before I feel like I’m going to puke that same color.

Tour Edge is announcing this morning that it’s naming long-time industry veteran Tim Clarke as its new president.
Clarke spent the past year serving as executive vice-president of Perry Ellis International’s golf division. He managed the apparel operations of the Original Penguin, Callaway, PGA Tour, Nicklaus and Perry Ellis brands in the U.S. He has spent the previous 25 years with Wilson Golf, including the last 17 as its president.
“This couldn’t be a better fit for me,” Clarke tells MyGolfSpy. “Perry Ellis is a world-class operation, but the soft-good world is different from the world I grew up in, which is golf equipment.”
In his new role, Clarke will oversee worldwide sales, strategic planning and operations for Tour Edge. David Glod, who founded Tour Edge in 1986, moves into the role of CEO and will remain the majority owner and chief club designer.
“We’re getting one of golf’s most respected and well-liked leaders,” Glod said in a release. “This is a total coup for us to get Tim and it should have a huge impact for us moving forward.”

Welcome back, MyGolfSpy compatriots, to another edition of History’s Mysteries. Submitted for your approval is a Twilight Zone-worthy tale of an underfunded golf brand with a unique, patented technology. It was rescued by an entrepreneur with deep pockets, big dreams and high hopes, only to crash and burn three years later.
That brand is back with putters that surprised us all in this year’s MyGolfSpy testing.
This, friends, is the story of TearDrop Putters.
History’s Mysteries: TearDrop Putters
The science of putting hasn’t changed much over the generations. You roll a round ball into a round hole on flat ground with a flat stick. It’s a simple task but, every year, someone tries to invent a better tool for the job.
There have been putters that look like birdhouses, hammers, xylophones and even the Starship Enterprise. For every PING Anser, Odyssey 2-Ball or TaylorMade Spider, there are thousands more that make you wonder if the designer could pass a drug test.
